Is it GAME OVER for the show "The Game"???

Derwin and Melanie will NOT be returning for the next season of the GAME!!

Melanie confirmed on her twitter account recently that she will NOT be returning for the next season of the popular BET show "The Game"....she recently tweeted "“Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. I am looking forward to my upcoming projects…the release of my book #OhBaby [today!], season 2 of @TiaTameraShow on @mystyle premiering in June, and my @ABCFamily movie coming out in December…more to come!” love u so much"

Pooch Hall "Derwin" also confirmed via his twitter that he will NOT be returning as well. 
It will be interesting (or uninteresting) to see just how well the show will do without the two leading characters.Personally it was game over for me last season...the show for some reason seemed to lose its flair but I wish them both luck in their future endeavors. 

 

RIP DONNA SUMMER

 

 First Whitney now Donna!

The beautiful Donna Summer, a 5 time Grammy winner, passed away this morning at the vibrant age of 63 following a battle with cancer. Donna was the queen of disco that perfected timeless hits that remind me so much of my childhood dancing with my mother. My all time Donna favorites were "Last Dance" and "She works hard for the money". 

Gone too soon, you will be missed but your hits will live on. 


Rest in peace Donna.

Kanye supports Kim at Jewelry launch.

"KimYe"... Kim and Kanye were spotted together in Canada for the launch of  Kim's new Jewelry line. The launch took place at Belle Noel in Toronto. They looked adorable together as usual.  I love to see a guy supporting his woman. Much Love to them both!!!!

The new addition is actually now 6 months old....his name is Kez Sunday Udoka. Nia is reportedly the happiest she's ever been. She's taking time off from the big screen to enjoy motherhood all over again. The child's father is NBA star Ime Udoke...the two supposedly eloped on Valentines day but that has yet to be confirmed. Congrats to the couple we wish them the best!

This is Kim exiting Kanye's Mercedes SLR McLaren to Barry's Boot Camp in Sherman Oaks Cali. Kim's family just signed a $40 million deal with E! so I'm pretty sure she can probably afford to buy her own...all girl's know that it's way more fun to drive your boyfriend's car;)...especially if it looks like THIS!

Basketball Wives Boycott continues to gain support.

Per the Huffington Post: A petition boycotting Evelyn Lozada's violent outbursts on "Basketball Wives" has garnered massive support just as news breaks that the reality show is being turned into a movie.

The creator of the petition writes: "Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on 'Basketball Wives' is horrible and disgraceful. Physical assaults, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. VH1 is rewarding this behavior by giving Evelyn a spinoff. Don't reward negative behavior."

The petition calls for the boycott of "Eva and Ocho," a new VH1 spin-off show featuring Lozada, who lives part time in Miami and owns shoe store Dulce in Coral Gables, and her NFL baller fiancé Chad Ochocinco.

Over 20,000 people have signed the petition, which states "This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not ok for women to hit each other on TV."

Meanwhile, BET reports that "Basketball Wives" star and producer Shaunie O'Neal just signed a deal with Fox Searchlight to make a "Basketball Wives" movie with "Jumping the Broom" producer Tracey Edmonds.

A BASKETBALL WIVES MOVIE???????

In case you haven’t gotten enough of the hair pulling, table jumping, bottle throwing debacle that is Basketball Wives the reality show, the movie version may be coming to a theater near you. Last year, Shaunie O’Neal reached out to ‘Jumping The Broom’ producer Tracey Edmonds via twitter, after hitting the jackpot with the first few seasons of Basketball Wives and the two came together to develop a concept that they pitched to various studios. The untitled pitch was eventually picked up by Fox Searchlight films and is now in development with ‘Jumping The Broom’ writer Elizabeth Hunter on board to pen the script. According to Variety, the plot will revolve around a young woman who relocates to Miami with her boyfriend after he gets drafted to the NBA. For some reason Savannah Brinson or even Adrienne Bosh comes to mind but the film is suppose to be based on Shaunie and a few of her friends.

SUPER model Naomi Campbell will mentor upcoming models on new reality show for the Oxygen channel.

 Naomi will be one of three mentors on Oxygen's new upcoming series, which will show models day to day struggles as they compete to become the sole spokeswoman for a national brand. Rod Aissa, senior VP of programming and development for Oxygen, says, the new show "The Face , delivers all the elements our audience craves: fashion, beauty and drama." hhhhmmmmm "The Face" just might give ANTM a run for it's millions:)

Mary J is set to star in new reality show on E!

So I guess it's Mary's turn to take a crack at reality tv...

Sources say that Mary J. Blige is searching for America's next big singing sensation.  Mary along with the producers of  American Idol will search the net looking for amateur songbirds for a new reality show "Opening Act".  It sounds very similar to various other "singing sensation" reality shows. Cameras will follow the three as they take amateur musicians and put them through the wringer to make them stage ready.

The show will allow each contestant  an opportunity of a lifetime to open up for a major artist that on tour. It's rumored that so far LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Jason Maraz and Gym Class Heroes have agreed to let an unknown act open up for them.

The show "Opening Act" is set to premiere July 9th on E!
